Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round fight which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to promote next month's heavyweight fight.
Ex two time world heavyweight champion Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge disparity - at Miami's arena on December 19th.
Boxer's Attitude
"I plan to break his face and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm superior," Joshua, 35, stated.
"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to really want to cause him pain. That's my goal."
Civil Exchange
In spite of such comments, a calm Joshua and social media star Paul - usually famous for his theatrics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul rather attacked former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "ridiculous" after Ngannou declined a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at UK rival Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he said.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since becoming pro.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
Still, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's largest financial successes, frequently receiving substantial earnings.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in round four or five and asserted he would prevent the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.
Size Difference
As both boxers engaged in the traditional stare-down, with their physical disparity on show, it drove home just how surprising this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the match is truly proceeding.
